While other runic systems such as the 24-character Elder Futhark and the 16-character Younger Futhark are more widely known, I’ve chosen to focus on the Anglo-Saxon Futhorc. It offers a broader and more developed system, encompassing the meanings found across the earlier forms while adding further nuance of its own.
This resource is grounded entirely in historical and archaeological evidence. It avoids modern reinterpretations and focuses instead on what can be understood from the surviving material and scholarship.
